September Group It’s that time again.  Time for you to get your creative juices flowing by seeing all the inspirations of the Inkspired Tour.  I’m sure you enjoyed Martha’s creations on her blog Stamp Art Papel, and I hope you enjoy mine as much.

For each of the projects I used the cute Play Date Designer Series Paper.  I love the fun look this gives to the projects.

August Inkspired Tour

Bienvenidos and Welcome to the August issue of the Inkspired Tour.  Did you see the creations of my friend, Martha Gomez, on her site, Stamp Art Papel on the previous stop of the tour?

Be sure to look at the other blog tour stops from across the country and Puerto Rico, just click the button at the bottom of this post to go to the next blog.

I hope you enjoy my projects:

Owl Card
My first project to share with you this month is this Owl card (I’m sorry for the poor picture quality).

I love this punch, which is quite versatile.  Besides this cuter than cute owl, the punch can also be used to make a penguin, a tulip, and  much more.Owl card

 Amanda’s Stamp Pad Tips:

Owl card close up~The background texture is created using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

~The owl was punched once in each color:  Cherry cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.  Use the leftovers to create two more owls.

~Save Paper:  Punch the owl out of the center of the Cherry Cobbler Card Stock that is layered behind the Newsprint Designer Series Paper.

Amanda’s Stamp Pad Tips:
~This adorable little bear’s clothes were created using the new In-Colors, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.

~Do you see the cupcake on her card?  I used a marker to ink a single cupcake from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set for the perfectly sized card.

 Thank You Hydrangea

This card is inspired by a card I received in a swap by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Abby Biringer

Amanda’s Stamp Pad Tips:
~Notice the stencil in the background—it is the vintage stencil and Crumb Cake classic ink.

~A great color combination is using the new colors Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

Next up on the blog tour is Marcia Santiago and Stampin’ With Marcia where you will find a really cute 2-4-6-8 box, a great card and festive scrapbook page.

Hasta Luega, Amanda.

Occasions Mini Cards / Tarjetas de Occasions Mini

DSCN4947

I love the new Occasions Mini Catalog and this card show some of my favorite products.

I used the Scallop Trim Corner punch on the corners first, then I used the Sale-A-Bration Scallop Trim Border Punch The border punch is so beautiful and has a coordinating corner punch. These make such a great border all the way around the cardstock.

Check out this post for more information on the border punches.

The flowers are new in the Occasions Mini (Sweet Pea Stitched Felt 117266 Price: $7.95). This package comes with 52 pieces of flowers and leaves.

Both designs of Designer Series paper are from the new, HUGE stack of DSP (Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack 117161 Price: $24.95). It comes with 48 sheets total (2 each of 24 double sided)

DSCN4955

This lovely bird and leaves are punched using the newly designed punch (2 Step Bird Punch 117191 Price: $15.95). I created a highlight by punching the bird twice once in Taken with Teal, then with So Saffron; then layering the So Saffron under the Teal. The little berries are from the Stitched felt (Sweet Pea Stitched Felt 117266 Price: $7.95). The DSP is also from the fabulous Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack (117161 $24.95)

TIP: Use the Designer Series Paper as your guide to coordinating colors. For both of these cards I used the DSP as my color inspiration and let the Taken with Teal pop.
