I made this card for my Mother-in-Law’s birthday (so, since she hasn’t seen it yet—Happy Birthday, Sarita!). I love the sparkles that the shimmer paint adds to the sentiment and the flower edges.
The flower was easy to make using the scallop edge circle punch.
- Punch out five scallop circles.
- Spray each of them with water.
- Crinkle up each scallop.
- Unfold them and layer them one on top of the other.
- Punch in the center with the Crop-a-dile and place a brad through all five layers.
- Starting with the top layer, scrunch each layer back up (the top layer is scrunched tightly, then the others are a little looser).
- When all layers are scrunched (that’s the technical term, right?), unfold them and finesse them to get the look you want.
- Let the flower dry, then adhere to project.
I also added shimmer paint to the flower petals for a little extra shine.
