My First Color Challenge—Para Ti

DSCN5067

PPA33

I created this card to participate in my first color challenge. The color challenge is from the Paper Pal Arts team (PPA33), and uses the colors Garden Green, Certainly Celery and Kraft.

The shamrock was made using the Heart Punch and punching out multiple layers of hearts of both Certainly Celery and Garden Green. I distressed each heart by crumpling it up over and over, then stacked four hearts for each “leaf”. Then I used the crop-a-dile to punch through all the layers and added a little sparkle with the rhinestone brad.

The oval border was created by punching two Garden Green ovals using the wide oval punch and layering the Certainly Celery over the top.

Thanks, Ann. It was fun and it forced me to use a color I really don't like--Garden Green. But I think the colors together make a great combination. Plus, it gave me a reason to make a St. Patty's day card.
